FAB9
ABOUT
FAB9 is a makerspace startup founded with the mission of democratizing access to making. Through a monthly subscription, FAB9 provides members with access to high-end prototyping equipment, creating a new kind of shared workspace that fosters community, creativity, and meaningful connections through making.
CHALLENGE
The challenge was to transform the ground floor of a historic four-storey Edwardian building into a purpose-built makerspace, bringing together five specialist labs under one roof.
SOLUTION
We designed a space that integrated functional flow with literal transparency. Large internal windows not only distributed abundant natural light throughout the space but also allowed users to observe tools and machines in action, cultivating an environment that invites curiosity and encourages experimentation.
