Story
Some people store memories visually, others associate memories with scents or sound, I store memories spatially, in the form of architectural floor plans. I have lived in 21 homes, in four countries in as many continents.
Outcome
Everywhere I Have Ever Lived... is a series of drawings, documentation every home I have resided in. Constructed from memory, imagination, approximations, photographs, research and conversations with my mother, each drawing is a glimpse into the quotidian aspects of daily life. Grounded in spatial logic and enriched with historic, cultural and personal details, each drawing narrates the story of a peripatetic life told through the language of architecture.
